On the 7th of October, the U19 Boys Basketball made the trip to Schull to play two league matches in the Cork C League. St Peter’s played Schull Community College in their first game and after a slow start came out winners 43-38. The top scorer in the first game was Jeremy Healy with 16 points and Tomas Harrington led the rebound total with 5.
The boys had a short break and were back on the court to play St Brogan’s Bandon in their second league match of the day. After a slow start which saw St Peter’s fall behind 13-4, the U19 Boys took over the match and came out winners 42-29. The top scorer in the second match was David O’Leary with 10 points and Mark Guinnane led rebounds with 5.
The Boys play their next league game against Skibbereen at the Parochial Hall. Last week, the U19 Boys lost their first league game to Castletownbere 31-16.
