Last Friday, St. Peter’s were invited by the FAI Schools and UCC to attend the inaugural launch of the Cork Schools Cup competition, whereby we will enter the ‘Denise O’Sullivan Senior Cork Cup’. The evening was attended by many schools in Cork while FAI Development Officers Alan Bennett and Derek Coughlan were also present. We were proudly represented by Muireann Deasy (C) and Simone Jennings whereby the girls anxiously waited to see which school we would be drawn in the U19 division with the final due to be held in Turners Cross.

This Cork Cup Soccer competition helps to further promote and develop female participation in second level sport while UCC also spoke about new career opportunities and scholarships for women in sport. Good luck girls!
