TY Ballyhass Trip 2021
Last Wednesday the 4th years went on a gorgeous day trip to Ballyhass Lakes. The year split into 3 groups and took turns doing activities, the first activity that they did was the Crate Game. In the crate game the whole group put on harnesses, then they chose people to climb on the crates. The aim of the activity was to see who could make the tallest tower, it was like a giant game of Jenga! According to Ms. McGovern, the best aspect of the day was the water activity. There were a few students who were quite scared of the jump and other students helped them summon up the courage by supporting them and jumping alongside them. “I loved the fact that people were all the time encouraging each other,” said Ms. McGovern. This trip was the first of the TY activities this year. Most of the 4th years came and got a bus to Ballyhass Lakes. The trip helped the group come together. For the international students it was a good time to make some friends and bond with the rest of the year group. A big thank you to everyone who helped out with the trip and especially Ms Clarke, the transition year coordinator, who organised the day
