History of St. Peter’s

St Peter’s Community School was founded in 1988 following an amalgamation of St. Mary’s Secondary School (Sisters of Mercy) and Passage West Vocational School (Co. Cork V.E.C.). The founding bodies remain as trustees of the School.

St. Peter’s cherishes and promotes Christian values and this commitment particularly reflects the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, who are co-trustees of the school. In addition, the school welcomes and respects other traditions.
